 Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC;Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Hiroaki Ishizuka) and Pioneer Corporation (Headquarters: Kawasaki, Kanagawa prefecture; President and CEO: Susumu Kotani) announced that they have developed a dimming and color tuning-type OLED lighting panel with a wet coating process for a light-emitting layer that can be produced for less than one-third*1 of the cost of conventional production methods.
The panel will be offered in three different sizes: 92 mm × 92 mm, 69 mm × 66 mm, and 55 mm × 50 mm. Mass production shipping is scheduled to start in early 2016.

OLED lighting modules (wet-coated)

 Mcc and Pioneer started shipments of OLED lighting modules in 2012, and in 2014, started mass production of the monochromatic white OLED lighting modules using a wet coating process for the light-emitting layer, which significantly reduces manufacturing cost. The addition of the low-cost OLED lighting models capable of various expressions of light and color that fit the scene – which is surface-emitting, thin and lightweight – the product series can satisfy a wide range of user needs.
